The Curriculum
The curriculum will take the students on a trip around the world. Each month, they will be given the opportunity to explore one of the seven continents and its corresponding animals, people, culture, art, and traditions. Information will be shared through music, storybooks, forgein language, and art activities from each of the seven continents. Hands on experience and play will be utilized to teach information in addition to providing opportunities for social and emotional development.
Happy Trails Preschool will provide high quality curriculum that will cultivate a rich learning environment to prepare students for success in kindergarten and set a strong foundation for a love of learning. Students will be exposed to different cultures from around the world in hopes of widening their perspectives while tapping into their natural curiosity to learn and grow.
The following two proven effective learning programs will be utilized: Zoo-Phonics, teaches alphabet phonemically through kinesthetis (movement) and mnemonics (system for improving and assisting memory) and Handwriting Without Tears, provides written material for letter and number formation and recognition.

4 to 5 year olds/Distinguished Discoverers
Monday through Friday
Afternoon Class- 12:10 to 3:00 pm
